Main Hill Moments: The Best of This Semester

by Kate Bunnell and Diana Malario

This semester on the Hill has been both productive and memorable. Through a steady rhythm of planning and creative collaboration, Main Hill Media has continued to grow and showcase the spirit of Northwest Arkansas, while also serving national clients. As the semester comes to a close, we invite you to look back with us at the projects, achievements, and standout moments that defined our work and strengthened our team.

Strategy, Leadership & Impact

Our account executive team has been nothing short of exceptional this semester. From kickoff meetings to final deliverables, they led every project with strategy, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to our clients’ success. Whether coordinating campaigns for Midwest Dairy, Jiffy Lube and Clothesline, or supporting standout brands like Firebirds, Trash Ice Cream, and Mama Bear Restoration, this team consistently went above and beyond.

Our account executives demonstrated strong communication skills and have delivered numerous client pitches featuring our new media kit. The kit highlights our campus influencer program with an updated roster, media packages that include student-run placements and street-team flyer events, and consulting services designed to help clients develop campaigns that stand out from the rest.

Their organization, communication, and ability to turn client goals into actionable results have driven some of our strongest work yet. This group truly set the tone for professionalism within Main Hill Media, and we couldn’t be more proud of everything they’ve accomplished.

Creativity, Collaboration & Influencer Success

Our social team worked tirelessly behind the camera this semester, crafting visually stunning campaigns that elevated our clients’ online presence. In addition to client projects, they played a crucial role in building the Main Hill brand by organizing photoshoots, curating monthly trends, and sharing micro-influencer favorites. Their work made our social platforms more engaging, fun, and interactive, which was exactly the personality we wanted to express.

The results this semester spoke for themselves, with posts across all accounts significantly outperforming last semester’s averages. Leaning into team personality proved especially effective, driving higher engagement across platforms, while the new ideas tested throughout the term contributed to consistently strong performance. Both Mama Bear and Clothesline expressed enthusiasm for their refreshed feeds, noting clear improvements in quality and engagement. This success was also reflected in audience growth, with Main Hill gaining 150 new followers, Mama Bear adding 60, and Clothesline increasing by 30.

This semester also brought a wave of influencer collaboration. The Trash Ice Cream campaign was a standout example, showcasing how well our creators could come together to produce content that was both fun and captivating. Lily Davis, a Dillard’s Campus Collective Intern, rallied several influencers for a collaborative photoshoot that perfectly captured the spirit of our team. We also want to spotlight Ally Levings, who balanced roles on both the Influencer Team and the Main Hill staff with incredible success. Her dedication and creativity truly shined.

Our monthly Undeniably Dairy campaigns were another highlight. Even with a broad prompt, “promote dairy”, the girls consistently delivered unique, clever concepts. Watching their ideas come to life every month was one of the most inspiring parts of the semester.

Building Community & Professional Growth

This semester, our staff and volunteers participated in several events organized by our Internal and External Events and Growth Directors, each one designed to build camaraderie and help our staff grow both personally and professionally.

We kicked off the year with a cozy newsroom picnic, complete with snacks and sodas, giving staff and volunteers a relaxed space to get to know each other. As Halloween approached, the events team put together a candy-salad activity that quickly became a fan favorite. Everyone brought a bag of candy to add to the mix, creating a fun and festive treat.

To wrap up the semester, the team hosted a resume-building and headshot event open to all students. Professors from the School of Journalism and Strategic Media offered resume feedback while attendees received free professional headshots. This event was incredibly beneficial not only for Main Hill Media staff but for students across campus looking to build their personal networks and learn more about our organization.

Looking Back

From standout campaigns to impactful events, from team development to growing online engagement, this semester was packed with creativity, collaboration, and meaningful progress. Each member brought something special to Main Hill Media, and together they helped shape one of our most successful semesters yet.

We look forward to building on this momentum, continuing to elevate our clients, and showcasing the passion and talent of the Razorback community. Here’s to even more growth, inspiration, and storytelling on the Hill next semester.
